One of my favorite quotes of all time is by John A. Shedd, from a book titled Salt in My Attic written in 1928. Although I have never read the book and have no idea what Shedd was writing about, he wrote something so deeply profound that it has become one of the pieces of wisdom you come across which resonate deeply and start to shape your life in a way.So, here it is:
A ship in harbor is safe - but that is not what ships are built for.
I'm excited for what God (and any other guiding forces) have in store for me over the years. In August, I leave for Qatar to teach kindergarten. I have promised friends and family that I would keep a blog, so consider this day one.
(I might post about non-Qatar/teaching related things from time to time as well...).
